This video installation was inspired by the children's rhyme,
"Sticks and stones will break your bones,
but words will never hurt me".
I realized that the words are the beginnings of defining separation and differences between minorities, sexual orientation and gender. This defined difference between people can lead to discrimination, denying equal rights and often to violence. I find these derogatory words the first acts of violence.
